1984 THE NEW STAR IS BORN
Year 1984 raised an extraordinary corporation - Cheng & Cheung Co. (HK) Ltd.
Founded by Mr. Cheng & Mr. Cheung, the company first opened a small office of two staff located at Prat Avenue, Tsim Sha Tsui.
The following years witnessed the company's rapid development. Starting from a semi-precious stone wholesaler, C&C had advanced to become a refined men's jewellery manufacturer, targeting not only Hong Kong but also Japan and Singapore. Its great effort had won extensive customers' recognition and admiration.
1987 THE PRELIMINARY IS FORMED
For the purpose of operational and manufacturing effectiveness, C&C launched its key office and workshop in Tsim Sha Tsui in 1987. Its market was outstretched to Europe and the United States as it began to exhibit at the Basel Fairs.
Inspired by other top brand jewellers, C&C began to develop and pursue a series of refined men and women's jewellery with exclusive designs and sophisticated craftsmanship.
1989 WORLDWIDE INSIGHT
By 1989, C&C has been actively participating in various important jewellery exhibitions worldwide. With the booming business opportunities acquired, C&C moved its head office and workshop to Kowloon Bay.
Operation was extended to the ODM level from original design, exquisite sampling, high-technological production to global marketing.
1997 ASIA FINANCIAL CRISIS
Year 1997 marked the milestone of C&C. The economic downturn motivated C&C to grow in diversification. Marketable merchandises with distinctive craftsmanship were introduced to meet customer needs. Business thrived and grew significantly.
2004 THE GROWTH OF MAINLAND CHINA
With a strong commitment in quality, C&C had insisted on keeping its production base in Hong Kong. Nevertheless, the advancement on craftsmanship was notable after the national economic liberalization.
In 2004, C&C in China set up a 3-storey manufacturing plant with 45,000 square ft in Shawan Jewellery Industrial Park, Panyu. It is the independent jewellery firm which is under modernization and self-determination of management in the Mainland.
2007 A STEP FORWARD TO THE RIGHT TRACK
Taking the advantages of the prosperous Chinese economy, C&C further enhanced its business by obtaining the wholesaling and retailing licenses in China. In 2007, the premier CHENG CHEUNG brand was inaugurated. Its mission is to become a supreme international jewellery brand with profound heritage of nationalism.
2008 A DYNAMIC PROSPECT
Dissimilar to the major manufacturers who have abandoned the production in Hong Kong and migrated to Mainland China, C&C is proud to invest two more premises in 2008 for expanding its ultimate potential production capacity in Hong Kong.
Thanks to Mr. Cheung's heartfelt dedication to Hong Kong society, the reputation of a real "Hong Kong Jewellery Manufacturer" is fulfilled.
